I hope you’ve all had a fantastic week full of adventure, because it’s time for another Tactic Tuesday!
After a somewhat gloomy weekend in my neck of the woods its finally started to rain so this Tactic Tuesday is all about the rules of your indoor domain.
Like it or not you will be judged and judged harshly by all those who enter your home/apartment/room in parents’ house. And not primarily on what it looks like on the outside. The big judgment is made based on what it looks like inside.
Think about it: the condition of your home is, in theory, completely under your control. So what does it say about you if your pad is messy, smelly, or some other unattractive word that ends in “y”? Bad things, that’s what. In keeping with the spirit of Tactic Tuesday, here are some quick tips and rules you should–nay, must!–live by if you want to succeed with the ladies.

- The two most important rooms of the house: bathroom and the kitchen, in that order. They must be spotless at all times. No exceptions. A dirty bathroom is just plain gross, while a dirty kitchen calls the cleanliness of all food into question.
- I know your momma told you, but let me say it again here: carpet should be vacuumed, tile and wood should be swept and moped. Do your best to get rid of any weird stains, and try to keep an eye on the dust situation.
- Keep in mind that books, movies, etc say a lot about you. So make sure the ones you have out on display don’t send the wrong message. (I knew a guy who kept porn DVDs on display–talk about a vicious cycle.)
- On the things to do side, scented candles are cheap, awesome ways to keep the place smelling nice and must-free. Go with simpler scents like cedar or pine, and avoid overly-complicated scents like “Chocolate Coconut Mousse” (yes, it does exist).
- Follow these steps at all times–not just before you know someone’s coming over. You never know when something will come up, and you don’t want to have to stall them at the gates while you perform an emergency pube-ectomy on your toilet seat. Yeah. I went there.
